Pleasure Grounds –11 hectares of footpaths in woodlands adjoining the Danestream and leading to Studland Common.  Pick up a footpath map from Milford News in the Village Centre.

Hurst Castle – first built in the reign of Henry VIII and housed King Charles I on his way to the scaffold at the end of the Civil War, this castle is a fascinating day out for the whole family.  Reach it by ferry from Keyhaven or walk along the shingle spit (approx. 45 minutes, 1.5 miles). http://www.hurstcastle.co.uk/
