Have your say on the District Council’s plans for wheelie bins

New Forest District Council’s Draft Waste Strategy was approved on 4 November 2020 at the council’s cabinet meeting.

The approval of this document means that they now move into the next phase of work which involves engaging with stakeholders and working to create a detailed business case to establish costs for the proposed collection system. The resultant outcomes of these actions will be used together to establish the costs and benefits. This will be collated in a report and will be used to assess whether these proposals can be taken forward into a final waste strategy in 2021.

New Forest District Council would welcome any comments on the proposals.

  • The Draft Waste Strategy summary document – download here: Summary

Hopefully this information will help explain the work we have done to develop the draft waste strategy and the key drivers for change. Both the full waste strategy and the summary document will explain the proposed new collection system, the reasons for this selection and benefits that could be realised.

We welcome formal responses to wastestrategy@nfdc.gov.uk

All responses must be submitted by 10 December 2020.
