Do you need help with transport to your coronavirus vaccination appointment?

The coronavirus vaccination programme aims to save as many lives as possible, as quickly as possible, and reduce the pressure on the NHS.

New Forest District Council is working with Community First to help you get to your vaccination appointment when you are offered it.

Transport to COVID vaccination appointments from Community First:

·         Community First’s transport service provides a safe, secure and affordable way of getting to vaccination appointments.

·         All their minibuses are accessible and COVID secure and operated by trained drivers.

·         Passengers pay a small fare for the journey in line with local bus fares, and the service accepts bus passes to reduce this cost. (The cost for each journey will be given when booking.)

How to book community transport to your coronavirus vaccination:

·         When you receive your appointment letter, contact the Community First Transport team on 01425 482773 or

·         Please have the date, time and location of your appointment ready.

·         The driver will pick you up from home at the agreed time. You will arrive at your appointment on time and get a safe and convenient lift home too.

Community First can also support with transport to other medical appointments if required.

To support older residents to attend their vaccination appointments, the free Older Person’s Bus Pass can now be used before 9.30am. Read Hampshire County Council information:
